Meet Mister Freddy (20241229-03)
Hi!! Meet Mister Freddy.
Mister Freddy had unfortunately lived his whole life on a short heavy chain. His previous family struggled financially and couldn't really afford to feed him so he went more days with an empty belly than a full one. Sometimes he'd only get fed a few times a week. He ate his own poop usually as he was so hungry.
Mister Freddy is a very sweet boy. When I first met him he was so scared. His defenses immediately went up. He let out a low growl that quickly turned into a high pitched scream. It sounded like he was being brutally beaten. He was just so incredibly afraid to be touched by a human he didn't know. Fast forward to now, Mister Freddy has learned to trust me. Now he is SO HAPPY!! When he sees me, he dances around waiting for me to give him love. He does this little happy dance until I get to him then he just sits so I can lavish him with pats and scratches, which he adores.
Given his history with starvation I do recommend using a slow feeder with him in his new home. He's so used to not having food he just inhales it so fast. He's a really sweet boy and he needs a family who will give him a chance for a fresh start in his forever home!
